" GINGHAM"

Good morning to you all , the sun is shining and i am feeling great , but it is Freezing ...Brrrrr .

Today i would like to share a card with you that i made to enter into the willow sketchie challenge   "gingham" or just follow the sketch , and also Qkrstampede  "Any thing goes " challenge.



The stamp i have used is from the Sweet pea collection . I do so adore this stamp.

 

I have used 2 different style and size punches to make some flowers to co-ordinate with the gigham
papers.




The image and frame where cut out using 
a set of nesties . To make the decorative edges on my card i used a friskas punch . 

Finally adding a gingham ribbon and placing a flower on the bow. Each of the flowers have a  punched out mini heart for at the centre .

A Christmas in August

Good morning one and all. Today i'm posting a quick post as i'm going to be very busy today !!

 Here is a card i made using my DoCrafts digital Design "me to you " Christmas  cd.
It has been a while since i have used it . So thought i would get back to using it .






All the papers and the image where from the cd and mounted on to 3 shades of pinks and purple mirror card.


 I punched out some snowflakes from the left over pieces of backing paper to make some co-ordirnating embellishments . Which i then added Liquid pearls to the centre to give a little depth to the snowflakes.
            The greeting to is from the cd.

I would like to enter this card into the willow sketchie challenge Christmas in August .

                       " Have a mice day "

Good morning to you all. Today i am sharing with you two cards which i would like to enter into two challenges .

The first card is " Have a mice day " which i would like to enter into the Willow Sketchie challenge .

The image and the papers are all by Helz Cuppleditch  the Neighbourwood range. She has some lovely stamps and some beautiful papers . 

                     "Butterfly birthday"

Here is my second card i have named it butterfly birthday .  I have also made a matching tag  . I would like to enter this into  Emmas cards Silhouette challenge.

I stared by brayering a plain white piece of card with Big and Juicy ink . 

All the stamps i have used are from the "Urban " collection by Paper Mania. 

Once i had cut the right size brayered  piece of card for my card base i stamped a couple of images directly onto it . One of the images i heat embossed with clear embossing powder the other i left just stamped. 

With the remaining brayered paper i stamped ,clear embossed and cut out some butterflies and a script. I wanted to add a cord tassel to the script but i didnt have any so had to make one myself from cotton. 

Once i had laid out my design and was happy with it i stuck it all together .  .... I have some of my card left so i just had to make a matching tag.

                      Bright and colourful

                Today i bring you my 2nd scrapbook page

 As you will know from reading my previous Scrapbook blog post i am very new to scrapping  this being my 2nd page .  I have a lot of pages i will need to do to catch up to the year 2012 .......  As i dont really have any craft items for scrapbooking i used what i had to hand  ( which wasnt much )

This is where my trusty Bigshot came in hand. . The "summer fun" was created using a sizzix embossing folder and the green splashes were made using a sizzie die. And the green frames around the 2 small photos were also cut using my big shot .

The rest of the shapes were all HAND cut by myself . ..... Didn't help that my sharpest scissors are nearly blunt. That must justify a trip to the craft shop !!! 

The 2 lovely children in the photos are my 2 baby's , Not so much baby's  now they are 23 and 20 . Boy does time fly , but they are still as beautiful as ever .

I would like to enter this into the  Cards Galore scrapbook challenge .

 For my DT card i have used a 8x8 card blank.
The papers used are a fine glittered and white flower patterned embossed think tissue paper . They are quiet awkward to work with as they are quiet transparent and tape shows through so i used a wet glue .

The picture is made up of individual stamps to create a scene . I used my pro markers to colour and added some liquid pearls to the centre of the flowers   on the trees to give them a lovely effect. And of course some glitter on the fairy wings and butterflies.

The flowers too are made from a plain fine glitter tissue paper . Which i sat each on a mirror card flourish. finally finishing off with a few liquid pearls in the corners.

To Finish my Dt creation i decide to make a crafty magical wand . Using a stick from a hand waving flag , which i covered with matching papers and ribbon . Cut 2 star shapes out and sandwiched the stick in between the stars. Then embellished with plenty of gems , glitter , beads and ribbon .

I would also like to enter this card and wand into the Any thing goes challenge over at My craft Creations .   The any thing goes challenge over at  QKR stampede .

PRETTY IN PEACH

                 *~*A blue Christmas *~*

Hope you all are having a good day ?...   I am yet again Blogging i think i have become addicted !!! 

This card i would like to enter into the sketch challenge over at Craft Creations . 

 Its such a lovely blog  and i have taken part before.

                                                                      *~*~*

While searching for a stamp to use i came across the lovely Humphrey stamp from last year and thought it would be perfect.  I bet we all have loads of stamps that we only use a few times then move onto something new, I know i do .

As the layout of the card and my stamp was already choosen All i had to do was find the right colours and embellishments for the card.

After a bit of planning it all fell together . 

I have made the frame for the image using the leftover card from my die cut . These are really useful as it gives a whole different feel to the card instead of just doing the basic matting and layering .

The corner flourishes are flourish n0 2 by sizzix...What would we all do with out our dies and cutting machines !!!

I would like to say a big thank you to cards Galore for giving me the motivation and inspiration to start on my 1st ever scapbook page. I have planned for the past 2 years to get a book started and today i finally did . So THANK YOU !!!

My page is dedicated  to the memory of my mother-in-law Giselinde Spice  who i never had the privilege to meet.

Giselinde Steinkellner ( known as Linda ) was born in 1925   in Neu zeltweg Austria . After the 2nd world war as a young women she moved to England where she met my husbands Dad , Married and had 4 children . My husband being the youngest .

Sadley in 1976 Giselinde Passed away after a battle with skin cancer Aged just 51. At the time my husband was only 13 years old . He still misses her today 36 years on.

Giselinde's Husband went on to marry again and due to a break down in the family nearly all her photographs were lost .

I was so lucky to get hold of a few copies .

The copies themselves are also old so i had a bit of trouble working with the main photo . I coverd it with clear ink and using a clear embossing powder heated it it give it a glossy photo looking appearance . On doing this the photo became transparent so i had to mount it onto white card. It was all a bit of a risk  but thankfully it worked.

The papers i have used are all from the "stampin up " Range along with the flower stamp which i used to make the flower embellishments . I used a no name border punch for the decorative edges , and my trusty Cricut machine for the lettering .

I stamped the word  "ANGLE" as that's what i believe she is .

I would like to enter my scrapbook page into into cards galore scrapbook challenge . 

          "CARD AND TAG  SWAPS "

Good morning to you all from a very dull and wet Cambridgeshire . Today i am sharing my August card and tag swaps for the group i am in on FB called "Dawns card swap"

Its a very warm, friendly and welcoming group where we share al our hints, tips and inspiration . And we are all there for each other when we need support. 

This months card swap is Glitter , glamour  and bling . So plenty of sparkle . We all love playing around with glitter and making the whole house sparkle as it always seems to get every where !!!!

   Tag swaps 

For the tag swap the theme is Buttons and bows . So i chose a cute design and a crafty design . 

The "cute" Tag was made using my items from the "Forever friends " collection . 

My "crafty" tag was made using a set of free stamps . ( yes you have guessed by now i do love a freebie )I made the backing papers myself using my Do-crafts Digital design studio. I have wrapped cotton around my stamper cotton reel for a better effect.

The card below is a quick card i made just for fun using stampin up products . The swallows however are by sizzix .

                              Gift sets

      Matching Bauble , card and gift bag 

Today i have been playing around with my new Docrafts digital design disc which came free with Papercraft essantials. Its a great addition to the discs i already have.

Many of you know that i love making cards but my other addiction is making baubles so i thought that it was time to show one off.

I also made a card with coordinating insert and a matching gift bag to make a complete gift set.
