Button up

Well i hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year so far . Today i am sharing my first card for 2013 . It just so happens to be my  DT  
" button up " card for  DCC & Friends


There is a great prize up for grabs this month which is a bundle consisting of decoupage sheets , 2 sets of clear stamps and a set of die cuts. The challenge will run from Midday Jan 4th till Midday Jan 31st . So for your chance to enter this fab challenge please visit DCC & Friends challenge blog.
As Valentines will soon be upon us i took the theme of love to make my card . I used a musical backing paper in gentle  tones and pastel pink , white and lavender  for my colour palate .
Using sizzix heart dies i created 2 contrasting hearts and embellished with buttons. I stamped the greeting onto a white heart and then edged with pale pink inks. Finale touches are a satin ribbon and a bow embellished with a button and 3 additional buttons along the side which i threaded with light pink bakers twine.
